Water, Sanitation & Hygiene

Safe water changes everything: children spend less time walking to collect it, families get sick less often, and girls are more likely to stay in school.

YAAP constructs and rehabilitates water points, including hand-pump boreholes and solar-powered water systems, and trains community members to maintain them so they keep working.

Alongside the infrastructure, we promote hygiene and sanitation practices in households and schools.
